Main mission, goal of position:

Netafim recognizes the greenhouse sector as a growth engine that will be an integral part of the company's growth strategy over the next few years.

Under this initiative, the company is seeking to recruit skilled personnel to lead the activity. 

In this position, the employee will develop the company's go-to-market strategy while collaborating with departments and other stakeholders in the organization.

In addition, they will take full responsibility for managing Greenhouse projects sales from the lead generation stage, through the sale of a project until commercially handing the project over to the client.

The ideal candidate should have professional experience working for a greenhouse company, an up-to-date understanding of greenhouse technologies and structures, and a business development background.

Major areas of responsibility, main processes, tasks:

  1. Supports the development of territory/regional marketing strategies
  2. Increase project sales while expending Netafim share of wallet from irrigation & control solution into full turnkey solutions
  3. Increase project lead generation
  4. Facilitate sales promotion activities including seminars, lectures, participation in conferences and exhibitions
  5. Implement efficient communication and support interfaces for sales while collaborating with GBU, the Division and the corporate GH unit
  6. Direct responsibility for business results and objectives defined regarding sales/ clients/ projects/ products etc.
  7. Build local networking; Identify local influencers, subcontractors and expand the cooperation with local suppliers and potential partners
  8. Creation of effective work interfaces, coordination and knowledge sharing with project teams
  9. Identify local technologies and solution providers an establish long term relationship
  10. Research and assess the efficacy, marketing, price points, and key similarities and differences of competing products for communications to growers, farm managers and business owners
  11. Ensures federal and state regulations pertaining to GH structures and technologies are observed and adhered to

 

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of senior-level territory management (ag-focused) with regional and/or national account experience and a proven track record of generating repeat sales
  1. Extensive expertise and experience in GH design and agro-technical solutions, structures, and systems for the greenhouse segment – a must
  2. Experience in GH sales – a must
  3. BA or diploma in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business/Economics – an advantage
  4. Minimum 5 years practical experience in the greenhouse arena
  5. Strong business-development capabilities
  6. Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook)

  3. Self-starter, comfortable with prospecting new business and opportunities at grower and channel level

  7. Strong customer interpersonal skills

  4. Maintaining a routine communications line with the Greenhouse unit 
  5. Coordinate the efforts between various departments, such as Netafim US sales units, GH unit, legal, finance, marketing, HR and sales aiming to meet company goals
