Agricultural Recycling

It is our responsibility as manufacturers to minimize the impact of plastic waste on the environment. Netafim ReGen™ agricultural recycling is just one way that we're striving to make the planet just a little bit better by turning used driplines into new driplines!

What is ReGen™?

Netafim ReGen™ is recycling plastics, including dripline that have reached the end of their service life, and turning them into new drip line products that are ready to perform. Recycled resin goes through a quality control batch process to meet our high standards before being used in the new drip line manufacturing process. The final product (drip line) meets international standards ISO9001

Why Recycle Your Used Irrigation Drip Line?

IT'S OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MINIMIZE IMPACT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

“In Australia and New Zealand we’re constantly reminded of the importance of using water efficiently. Most people in the industry know that drip irrigation is an extremely efficient way of delivering water to plants and crops. But they may not know that polyethylene driplines are highly recyclable and can then be re-manufactured using extremely high rates of recycled material. This is a message we’re excited to invest in.”

Rob Nadebaum, Managing Director, Netafim Australia and New Zealand

Netafim’s Recoil Program: Giving New Life to Old Drip Lines

The agricultural industry uses a lot of plastic, but we can lessen the impact of those plastics by taking old drip lines that have reached the end of their service life and turning them into new drip line products that are ready to perform.

Through Netafim’s Recoil program, old drip lines are removed from the field, recoiled and sent to our 3rd party recycling plant. After a thorough cleaning process, the old drip line is manufactured into resin and returned to Netafim.

Once received, the recycled resin goes through a quality control batch process and is used in our manufacturing process to create new drip line. This creates a closed circuit for farmers who rely on our products to help them achieve more sustainable returns and lower their environmental impact on the planet.

This closed-circuit approach means that our farmers have the means to dispose of their used drip lines efficiently and continue to practice sustainable farming.
