Things to note:

  • Coils must not exceed 1.2 meters in diameter or as instructed by the Netafim Recoil Coordinator
  • Rope for tying coils is not supplied by Netafim.
  • To assist the removal of the spool, ensure main shaft is sufficiently lubricated.
  • Stacks of dripper line must be readily accessible to a B-double truck and there must be enough room to manoeuvre such equipment for loading.
  • Forklifts and loading equipment is the growers responsibility.
  • Must have a full semi-trailer load for any on-farm pick-ups.

Terms and Conditions

These conditions are non-negotiable and only the Recoil Program Manager or the Pick-Up Coordinator can approve any exceptions.
If these conditions are not followed, Netafim at its absolute discretion may determine not to provide the collection service.

The Netafim Recoil Coordinator will contact Growers who have completed a Netafim Recoil Request form.

After understanding the grower’s requirements and eligibility in accordance with the Netafim Recoil Guidelines, a proposal will be sent to the grower.

The proposal will set out pricing, terms and conditions for hire of a recoiling machine and for the recycling of the resulting recoiled dripline.

In pricing both hire of a Netafim Recoiler machine and recycling of the resulting recoiled material, Netafim will provide subsidised rates to a Grower who has either:

  • Purchased a Netafim product to replace the driplines which they intend to recoil; and/or
  • Placed an order for an equivalent amount of Netafim product.

Netafim reserves the right to only hire a Netafim Recoiler machine to a Grower who has accepted a Netafim recycling proposal to recycle all dripline they recoil using the Netafim Recoiler.

General

  1. All metal (e.g. vine wire) should be removed either prior to or during the retrieval process. One exception is cobra clamps if advised by Netafim.
  2. The Netafim retrieving machine should always be operated by two people.
  3. The grower accepts that the sole responsibility for the use, care and safe operation of the retrieving machine rests with the grower until collection of the retrieving machine by Netafim.
  4. The retrieving machine must be returned to Netafim in the same condition as it was supplied. Failure to do so will incur a charge based on any necessary repairs to the retrieving machine.
  5. Only the pre-agreed quantity of dripper lines in metres or kilograms will be recoiled and if agreed separately with the client, will be picked up for recycling. Any extra will be recoiled and collected following agreement with Netafim.
  6. A contact number and name must be provided by the grower for use at time of pick up.
  7. The grower is responsible for getting all recoiled driplines to a centralised location accessible by truck prior to trucks arriving. The grower is to load recoiled dripper lines onto the truck immediately upon the truck attending the property to collect the dripper lines.
  8. The grower is to load as efficiently as is safely possible in order to maxmimise load density. Any delay in commencing loading of the dripper lines may lead to termination of the service by Netafim or extra charges being applied.
  9. Equipment to load the truck with the reeled drip lines is the responsibility of the grower. Trucks are side-loaded and require the use of forks.
  10. Collection times will be typically 2-4 weeks from receipt of advice from the grower that the dripper lines are ready for collection but may be longer depending on workload.
  11. Bad weather may force rescheduling.
  12. Site inspection by a Netafim representative recycler or Netafim dealer may be required prior to pick up.
  13. The stacks of drip lines must be readily accessible to a B-double truck and there must be enough room to manoeuvre such equipment in and around the collection site.
  14. The dripper lines must be recoiled and tied into individual rolls. Use plastic twine but not wire to secure the rolls in four spots. The dripper line tubing must be rolled on coreless spools. The ties must be made of thin wall dripper line or plastic twine or with the loose end of the dripper line. Do not use wire or adhesive tapes.
  15. Do not include any spools in dripline for pick-up.
  16. Loosely stacked piles of dripper line that has not been properly prepared will not be eligible for the recycle program.
  17. Dripper line intermingled with plastic mulch will not be accepted.
  18. Stacked dripper line must be free of trash, wood, rocks, tires and other foreign material.
  19. Upon collection of the dripper lines, title and property the dripper lines shall pass to Netafim.
  20. In respect of the use of the retrieving machine and the collection and disposal of the dripper lines (“the services”) Netafim shall be under no liability to the grower in respect of any loss, damage or personal injury or death (including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, loss of use, loss of goodwill or any other direct or indirect loss or damage whatsoever) whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), equity, pursuant to statute or any other principle of law except that, where required by law, Netafim’s liability will be limited to, at the election of Netafim:

(i) the supply of services again; or

(ii) the cost of having the services supplied again.
